Protecting the most vulnerable road users
Beginning 2016, still under the Global Road Safety Partnership program, ImagineLaw alongside other road safety advocates, pushed for the enactment of Republic Act No. (RA) 11229 or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act.
ImagineLaw, later on, became part of the technical working group that drafted the law’s implementing rules and regulations. ImagineLaw continues to provide technical and legal assistance to the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) by drafting enforcement guidelines on the implementation of R.A. No. 11229, including the establishment of fitting stations and certification of fitters.
